Community Outreach
We actively engage in community outreach programs that serve the needs of local families. From food drives, and helping our neighbors, to volunteer opportunities, we aim to spread God’s light and love through care and support.
Christian Education Programs
Our educational programs:
1. Weekly Sunday School class at the East Chatham UMC beginning around 9:30 am
2. Weekly Bible Studies throughout the year:
A. Monday Evenings at Community UMC in Copake at 6:30pm
B. Thursday Morning at Chatham UMC at 10:00am
C. Thursday Afternoon at East Chatham UMC at 2:00pm.
We strive to foster spiritual growth and understanding through engaging and thoughtful discussions.

3. Summer VBS Program at East Chatham UMC
Community UMC Bargain Shop
The Bargain Shop (closed during COVID) reopened in September 2022. Located next to at the Community United Methodist Church in Copake (behind the Church House at 1673 County Rt 7A), we strive to be an effective ministry serving our community and beyond.
We offer a wide variety of clothing and household options very inexpensively, and when a family in the community is in need we willingly donate all we can to help them out.
Open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
